wildwater

Legend Wild Water

The perfect paddle for the multi-sporter and those wanting to start out in river racing. This style of parallel blade (the shaft plane is positioned directly in the middle of the blade edge plane) allows easy balance of the paddle in the hands. It provides a very predictable feel for the novice paddler.

The Wild Water has less lay-back than the Marathon giving it an instant bite to the water. The paddle is great in big messy wild water and sea conditions. It suits long distance and expeditions. It is also used with sucess by surf ski paddlers both in New Zealand and Australia. The Wild Water is easy to get use too but hard to get rid of! It's a long time favourite with many experienced racers.

marathon

Legend Marathon

The Marathon is designed for distance paddling and is very popular for races such as that of the Speight's Coast to Coast. It is also good for lighter paddlers on flat water. With it's increased lay-back the Marathon allows for a smooth application of power throughout the entire stoke. Paddlers can gain power, speed and stability easily through rapids and messy water with this blade. The Marathon requires less technical skill which suits many a tired multi-sporter or adventure racer.

The Marathon is also well suited for sea kayaking, due to the blade being longer and narrower than others. This allows a vertical stroke when required but also a low angle of stroke which is preferred by many sea kayakers in surf and rough sea conditions.

Legend Fluid

The Fluid is the top choice of paddle for the strong agressive kayaker. If it's busting out a competive time in the "Classic River Race" or the fastest kayak split for the Speigh's Coast to Coast, then look no further because this is the paddle that eats up seconds and turns them into minutes.

The Fluid is also a favorite for long distance ski paddlers that want a very positive purchase while riding the down wind wave. Legend Fluids are used by many club ski paddlers, especially the very competive women.

The Fluid is a meduim plus size blade derived from the european tear drop design. It has a medium amount of twist throught the blade's lenghth that provides a smooth power phase throughout its entire stroke. The paddle suits moving, flat water, loves rapids, waves and winning!

The Hydra's innovative design allows the perfect feel and purchase in messy water conditions. It allows a vertical styled stroke to be adjusted into a low angle supportive stroke if needed. This paddle suits the advanced paddler with good core stability and technique.

Legend C22

The C22 is a great all round paddle, and is perfectly suited for medium to long distance kayaking. Due to the blades lower volume it makes an excellent choice for those doing endurance paddling and expeditions. Another reason the C22 is popular for expeditions as well as surf life saving is its lateral strength.

Blade design on the C22 required extra thickness through the blades mid section, increasing lift and allowing the stroke rate to be increased. This extra 2mm of thickness makes the C22 one of the strongest wing paddles available. As a Parallel shape blade the C22 sits along side the Marathon in appearance but feels smaller due to the more lift from being thicker in cross section. For those that find they like an early “catch phase “ with quick clean exit then this is the paddle worth trying.
