Richard Ussher
Coast to Coast three time longest day champion Richard, has been paddling with Legend Paddles for over 8 years. When he is not making light work of the rapids on the Waimakarri River in Canterbury, Richard uses his paddles to help dominate adventure races around the world. Currently Richard’s paddle of choice is a Legend Fluid.

Paul Massie
Paul is a talented local Christchurch paddler with a long list of wins under his belt. He currently holds the record on the Brass Monkey course in Canterbury and has been the fastest man on the river section of the Coast to Coast for the last few years. Paul spends a lot of time training in the deep water on Lyttelton Harbour using his Legend Fluid.

Emily Miazga
Emily has been training and racing using Legend Paddles since she first began learning to kayak 6 years ago. She now dominates the women’s Coast to Coast longest day with 3 wins over the past 4 years and shows no signs of slowing down. Emily’s paddle of choice for this year’s race was a Legend Marathon.

Elina Ussher
Elina is a very talented athlete and has been competing around the world for many years. She is a top adventure racer and the female member of the recently form "Thule Adventure Racing Team". This year she was crowned World Multisport Champion after a well deserved win in the Speight's Coast to Coast Longest Day. Elina was more than half an hour ahead of her closest rival. Elina had the fastest split time in the paddle section using her Legend Hydra.

Bianca Teague
Bianca is another talented paddler who races successfully in her K1, a surf ski and a multi-sport boat. Bianca won the Classic River Race in 2008 against some very stiff competition. Other races she has dominated include the Brass Monkey series and numerous Awara club races. She also competed in the K1 National Marathon Champs finishing a creditable 2nd. Bianca races and trains with Legend Medium Fusions.

Olivia Spencer-Bower
At just 23 years of age Olivia is already a very experienced member of the New Zealand women’s canoe polo team the Paddle Ferns. She has travelled the world competing with them and celebrating the team’s international success. During the summer Olivia still manages to find time to compete in the Speight's Coast to Coast and has been the fastest female on the river for the last three years running. Well done Liv!!! Andrew Martin
Andrew has spent a life on the water and represented New Zealand on many occasions. He was in the down river racing team that won the 1995 world championships. He still competes in many paddling disciplines today with huge success. Andrew is now a leading kayak manufacturer based in Nelson. His boat the Andrew Martin Sharp is hugely popular among competitive paddlers due to its fast design and superior workmanship. Andrew formerly owned Legend Paddles Ltd and was responsible for creating such a superior New Zealand made product. His expertise are still used in the company today and he plays a vital role in each new creation.
